About The Position

Bay City Electric Works (BCEW) is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for its Galt, CA location. This role is crucial for supporting the Parts, Industrial, and Residential teams by managing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement of inventory and materials. The position involves a mix of hands-on warehouse tasks and inter-facility transportation. The Warehouse Specialist will spend approximately 60%-80% of their time at the Galt facility and 20%-40% at the San Leandro facility, driving company products between these two Northern California locations two to three times a week in a provided company vehicle. Requirements

  • Valid CA Driver's License
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of warehouse, logistics, distribution, or inventory experience
  • Experience in shipping and receiving operations
  • Experience performing inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented individual
  • Ability to safely drive a forklift

Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound trucks and deliveries, adhering to carrier delivery scheduling needs.
  • Verify product against packing slips/purchase orders and inspect for damage.
  • Receive material into the ERP system and label product.
  • Perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and conduct audits to maintain over 99.95% inventory accuracy.
  • Pick items from storage locations and verify accuracy.
  • Prepare and pack shipments for carrier requirements and prepare shipping documentation.
  • Load trucks.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Restock picking locations and transport materials between warehouse locations.
  • Update inventory transactions and process returns.
  • Maintain documentation and records, and support reporting activities.
  • Respond to emails and provide status updates to internal and external customers/vendors.
  • Stage parts and materials for upcoming jobs.
  • Coordinate the facilitation of items in grief.
  • Assist with overall logistics to ensure materials are available when and where needed.
  • Drive company products between Galt, CA, and San Leandro, CA facilities two to three times a week.
