About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for picking and staging customer orders on the shipping dock, counting and cross-checking all orders for next-day delivery, replenishing warehouse picking locations, and maintaining cleanliness of the warehouse and individual picking locations. This role also involves operating forklifts or other equipment for material movement, performing light maintenance, and adhering to all company and job-specific procedures and safety guidelines. The position requires working in a team-oriented environment, potentially with overtime, and ensuring 100% accuracy in order fulfillment and shipment verification. The specialist will also handle general housekeeping duties and participate in designated teams such as Safety, 5S, and Lean initiatives.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Current forklift certification required
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of warehousing experience
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Stand-up forklift preferred
  • Motorized (electric) pallet jack certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
  • Oracle experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Picking and staging customer orders on the shipping dock
  • Counting and cross-checking all orders staged for next day delivery
  • Replenishment of the warehouse picking locations
  • Cleaning of the warehouse and individual picking locations
  • Picking, preparing, and palletizing finished goods for shipment
  • Operating forklift or other equipment for material movement
  • Completing daily vehicle inspection reports
  • Proper charging of vehicles after use
  • Performing light maintenance duties
  • Picking and stacking product according to procedure and special instructions
  • Cross-checking to ensure 100% accuracy
  • Picking, checking, over packing, consolidating, and processing parcel cases
  • Loading and unloading trailers according to procedure
  • Verifying accuracy of shipments received
  • Determining locations for products and putting product into available locations
  • Communicating with management and department personnel on key issues regarding returns processing
  • Adhering to good manufacturing practices, Food and Drug guidelines, and Drug Enforcement Laws
  • Performing general housekeeping duties
  • Working in designated teams (e.g., Safety, 5S, Lean)
