Austin Lighthouse for the Blind (TAB) is a non-profit organization founded in 1934 to provide opportunities for economic and personal independence for people who are blind, visually impaired, or deaf blind. The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. This role involves verifying materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages, routing materials to storage locations, storing and stacking materials, conducting inventory, examining stored materials for deterioration, and preparing items for shipment. The specialist may operate hand or power trucks and an electric pallet jack. This position also includes maintaining equipment, ensuring production orders are pulled correctly, inspecting product loads, and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). A key aspect of this role is maintaining a safe and clean work environment and complying with TAB's Safety and Security policies, as well as embodying the company's Core Values of Leadership, Integrity, Growth & Innovation, Heart, and Teamwork (LIGHT).
