About The Position

The Marzetti Company is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for their 2nd shift operations. This role is responsible for operating powered industrial equipment and pallet trucks to handle all material movement within the warehouse. This includes transporting materials to and from storage, machines, loading docks, and trailers. Requirements

Familiarity with warehouse and/or distribution facility.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Basic knowledge of computer functionality.
Good eye/hand coordination and motor functions.
Basic reading, writing, and mathematic skills.
Strong attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior warehouse/distribution experience.
Forklift or other powered equipment experience.

Responsibilities

Familiarize self with productive capacity of machines or loading schedule of shipping services to ensure prompt delivery of items to proper destination.
Use snips to open loads as well as remove strapping and wrapping, ensuring safe disposal in designated containers and areas.
Place protective materials around load and use hand or automatic strapping equipment to secure loads for final shipment to customers.
Remove empty skids and stack skids in designated areas.
Safely pull, load, and move merchandise and all documents specific to each type of merchandise.
Complete cleaning duties throughout and at the end of the shift.
Complete safety check on equipment prior to usage including but not limited to battery, brakes, lift controls, and computer.
Operate labeling equipment, heavy machinery, and powered industrial equipment.
Follow all GMP & Food safety requirements.
Meet production standards of quota for the function being performed.
Perform other duties as required or directed.
