About The Position

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is seeking to hire a Warehouse Specialist/Supply Technician to support a busy supply activity at the Combatant Craft Division at Carderock on Naval Station Norfolk, VA. This role involves performing a variety of warehousing duties, verifying materials against receiving documents, routing materials to storage locations, storing and stacking materials, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials for damage, and preparing materials for shipment. The position may require operating hand or power trucks. The Warehouse Specialist will also assist the Supply Department Manager in receiving, stocking, inventorying, issuing, packing, and shipping of facility tools and materials, maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring warehouse cleanliness and organization, assisting in procurement research, providing status reports, and performing routine logistics and warehouse functions. Additional interdepartmental collateral duties may be assigned.

Requirements

One to three (1-3) years of experience in supply/warehousing or inventory operations.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be self-motivated, process-oriented, punctual and have excellent time-management skills.
Requires personal accountability, strong work ethic, diligent records-keeping and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Extreme dedication to inventory accuracy and safekeeping of material.
Proficiency in operation of warehouse equipment to include pallet jacks and forklifts.
Experience with MS Office Software Suite, to include Excel and Outlook.
Experience with electronic asset management databases and inventory management software.
Strong customer service skills.
Current VA Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
U.S. Citizenship required
Must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.

Nice To Haves

Prior military veterans in Supply-Logistics Rating/MOS strongly encouraged to apply.
CDL license is highly desired

Responsibilities

Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
Operating hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
Assist the Supply Department Manager in receiving, stocking, inventorying, issuing, packing, and shipping of all facility tools and material.
Diligently follow all policies, procedures, documentation, and protocols to maintain positive control of all facility tools and material.
Maintain 100% accurate tool and material location and inventory.
Maintain overall warehouse cleanliness and intelligent organization and storage of tools, equipment, and material.
Assist in researching, quoting, sourcing and procuring of parts, equipment and subcontracted services on behalf of our government customer.
Provide status reports as requested to senior management and customer.
Assist in material delivery and pickup from shipper or vendor locations.
Perform routine logistics and warehouse functions assigned by supervisor at their discretion.
Additional interdepartmental collateral duties as assigned by management.
