Requirements

  • 1+ years of warehouse and distribution experience including use of commercial or industrial equipment.
  • Experience with handheld computer equipment such as RF scanners.
  • Must be able to follow directions and work independently.
  • Able to work well and coordinate with others.
  • Ability to read, write and exhibit strong basic math skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work in a deadline drive, fast paced environment.
  • Ability to operate material moving equipment such as a forklift, reach truck,riding pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and picking carts.
  • Frequently required to lift, carry, push, or pull products, parts, and materials weighing up to 75 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance or material handling equipment.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the warehouse while supervising operations, assisting team members, and handling materials.
  • Occasional climbing onto equipment platforms to access inventory or oversee warehouse activities; ability to maintain balance while handling materials.
  • Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching to check inventory, assist with loading/unloading, and verify product placement.
  • Frequent reaching, grasping, and handling of boxes, pallets, equipment, and documentation; manual dexterity required for operating scanners, computers, and warehouse tools.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus to read labels, verify counts, and monitor equipment.
  • Ability to hear instructions, equipment sounds, and safety signals; must be able to communicate clearly with team members, drivers, and management in a noisy environment.
  • Work performed in a warehouse environment with regular exposure to noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and moving equipment; may occasionally work outdoors during loading/unloading.
  • Must be able to wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, etc.) as required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Transport received goods from receiving docks to designated warehouse storage areas.
  • Accurately scan, label, and record inventory during the put-away process.
  • Verify product descriptions, quantities, and bar code numbers to ensure accuracy.
  • Safely operate forklifts, reach truck, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
  • Maintain organization of storage areas to maximize space and efficiency.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and warehouse housekeeping.
  • Follow company safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
  • Support other warehouse activities as needed (picking, staging, shipping).
