About The Position

This role is responsible for providing effective internal and telephone customer sales and service activities. Key duties include managing inventory, pulling orders, performing monthly audits, filling HP and Liquid cylinders, and operating a forklift. The position involves receiving, processing, picking, unloading, labeling, storing, and entering new warehouse stock products and inventory items into the computer system. It also requires preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup, including picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, staging, loading, shipping, and filling back orders. The role includes performing cycle counts, inventory control activities, audit support, and reporting discrepancies. Coordination with the Purchasing Department regarding stocking issues, dead stock disposal, sourcing materials, and expediting orders is also a part of this role. Additionally, the position involves checking in equipment repairs, performing minor equipment maintenance, assembling new welding equipment for display, and operating warehouse vehicles and equipment. Sales and customer service support for walk-in and telephone customers, including identifying product needs and recommending applications, is essential. Preparing customer orders, quotations, bids, and related sales transactions for welding equipment, supplies, gases, and other products is required. Maintaining the showroom, store, and warehouse areas, including setting up displays and stocking shelves, is also a responsibility. Communication and cooperation with various internal and external stakeholders are expected.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years warehouse or inventory experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to work in varied weather conditions and business locations - loading dock, outdoors, etc.
  • Must be able to use company software for counter sales.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts, inventory control activities, audit support, and required computer transactions; report discrepancies and coordinate inventory adjustments with the Purchasing Department.
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing Department regarding stocking issues, disposal of dead stock, sourcing materials for customers, and expediting orders.
  • Check in equipment repairs, perform non-major equipment maintenance or repair, assemble new welding equipment for display, and operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Provide sales and customer service support for walk-in and telephone customers, including identifying product needs and recommending proper product applications.
  • Prepare customer orders, quotations, bids, and related sales transactions for welding equipment, supplies, gases, and other products.
  • Set up showroom product displays, stock shelves, and maintain the general condition, cleanliness, safety, and organization of the showroom, store, and warehouse areas.
  • Communicate and cooperate with drivers, supervisors, coworkers, manufacturer sales representatives, and RBO sales/customer service employees.
