About The Position

Ensures parts are being processed and handled consistently according to the company’s quality practices and standards.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid tow motor operator’s license issued by the company
  • Must be available to work overtime, including weekends as required
  • Knowledge of proper inspection procedures and requirements
  • Use of manual tools and compressed air impact guns.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English

Responsibilities

  • Visually check all parts for defects and notifies supervisor if parts have defects
  • Identify defects that can be detected visually such as burrs, scratches, dings, draw lines, die marks, improperly located parts, bad buff, bad butler, rust missed operations, missing holes, paint, welds.
  • Identify and isolate questionable or bad parts
  • Provide proper disposition as well as proper documentation performed as required by Quality guidelines for isolated and/or non-conforming parts
  • Ensure all parts in the area are either on a table, conveyor, slide, pallet, or in a container.
  • Prepare and complete required documentation, forms, reports, labeling product, tagging of rejects
  • May be required to load/unload trucks
  • All other duties as assigned by management
