About The Position

Join Staples’ World Class Supply Chain Team to help deliver essential products to customers. Warehouse associates may be assigned to shipping or other warehouse areas, including bulk/material handling, porter, replenishment, receiving/putaway/returns, or returns, and may be moved into any of these roles or SC1 roles as needed. The work involves following safety procedures, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting Staples Supply Chain operations.

In Shipping, organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets; load trucks manually; lift, lower, and carry products in a fast-paced environment; and stack empty pallets while keeping the workspace safe and clean. Other potential assignments may involve operating material handling equipment, cleaning and basic facility maintenance, checking product accuracy and damages, unloading trucks, palletizing products, and processing returned items.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• At least three months of related warehouse experience, or an equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent legally permissible.
• Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull boxes or merchandise weighing 70 to 100 pounds by hand.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to become certified as a material handling equipment operator and safely operate necessary equipment.
• Willingness and ability to keep the work area clean, collaborate inclusively, adopt safety procedures, and work in seasonal temperature variations in a warehouse environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack, or cherry picker.

Responsibilities

• Depending on assignment, perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility.
• Depending on assignment, confirm product accuracy, resolve discrepancies and damages, unload trucks, palletize products, and process returned items.
