This position reports to: Planning & Fulfillment Manager __ The work model for the role is: Onsite, Richmond, VA Your role and responsibilities: In this role as a Warehouse Shipping Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring orders are delivered on time per customer expectations, and all shipping documentation is accurate. This role requires a robust understanding of ABB shipping processes, Incoterms, logistics coordination, SAP transactions, and clear communication with customers as needed. The position works closely with carriers, freight forwarders, procurement, planning, and customer service to support efficient order fulfillment and transportation logistics. You will be mainly accountable for: Maintaining complete and accurate data in the ERP system. Checking the quality of incoming goods for storage. Ensuring daily contact with suppliers. Participating in regular inventory control processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years related experience with a Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field OR minimum 4 years related experience with an Associate degree OR minimum 6 years related experience with a High School diploma/GED.
  • Experience in shipping, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes, including export documentation and compliance requirements with customs.
  • Practical experience with Incoterms and global transportation practices.
  • Proficiency in SAP, or similar ERP systems, particularly in shipping and order execution transactions.
  • Experience working with freight carriers and forwarders in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operation.
  • Work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
