About The Position

The Warehouse Shift Supervisor supports the Warehouse Supervisor and Manager with daily warehouse operations, including the inbound and outbound handling, posting, and distribution of goods. This supervisory-level role requires a foundation in warehouse operations, staff coordination, and regulatory compliance. The position works with the Warehouse Supervisor and follows the Warehouse Manager’s direction to maintain operational excellence and a safe, orderly warehouse environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in warehouse operations; experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility is ideal.
• Strong skills and background with SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Proven expertise in warehouse support functions, ideally in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Working familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to warehouse operations.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or other training in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Forklift certification.
• For a senior specialist, 4 to 5 years of experience in warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution of goods.
• Support effective inventory control systems and participate in regular audits to verify accuracy and mitigate losses.
• Assist with coordination between the warehouse and Accounting Team to support accurate inventory tracking, timely reporting, and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Ensure warehouse activities comply with health and safety regulations, promote a culture of safety, and participate in routine safety training.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.
• Assist with warehouse space planning and management to maximize storage capacity and optimize workflow.
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technological tools to streamline operations.
• Assist with tracking expenditures, cost control, budget management, and preparation of financial reports.
