About The Position

Publix Super Markets is a privately owned supermarket company recognized for community involvement, volunteerism, environmental sustainability, and commitment to diversity. Warehouse selectors help keep products available across Publix stores by selecting and preparing store orders for delivery. They use warehouse technology to identify ordered products and their locations, then pull the products, place them on pallets, wrap completed orders, and prepare them for truck loading. Compensation after training varies according to output, and selectors can earn more by completing orders safely, efficiently, and accurately. The position involves frequent walking, lifting, bending, and stretching. Responsibilities may include additional duties as needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Work a rotating schedule that includes some weekends and holidays.
Work fluctuating shifts when needed.
Select, lift, carry, and stack products weighing up to 67 pounds for high velocity.
Stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive work for long periods.
Operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside the operator compartment.
Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations on or before the position start date.
Read, write, and identify and verify numbers.
Interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
Pass a Physical Agility Test before the position start date, as applicable.

Responsibilities

Select products ordered by Publix stores.
Place selected products onto pallets, wrap completed orders, and prepare them for truck delivery.
Use warehouse technology to identify ordered products and their locations.
Perform work efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Operate a pallet truck or forklift in accordance with the stated operator-compartment safety requirement.
