About The Position

US Foods is a leading foodservice distributor with a strong culture of promoting from within, excellent training programs, and a focus on continuous improvement. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our warehouse team as Warehouse Selectors. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment for our customers. Our Warehouse Selectors start at $18.27 an hour with potential for incentive pay, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

Must be able to read and communicate in the English language for training, conversations, safety and job-related coaching, reading labels, and entering information on reports.
Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. Weekends and holidays may be required at times.
Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees.
Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively.
Ability to move 1,000+ cases of product during each shift.

Nice To Haves

Recent experience (within the past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role (e.g., lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work).
Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
Experience operating a motorized pallet jack or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

Safely and accurately select customer orders.
Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy.
Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
Carefully move products from racks to pallets as directed by order selecting software and equipment.
Validate that the correct product has been selected and is damage-free.
Efficiently deliver products to the correct dock area and shrink-wrap palletized orders.
Clear aisles of debris, stack empty pallets from slots in the aisle, and return pallet jacks to the charging area.
