The Warehouse Runner for the ONT Field will be responsible for monitoring inventory for the Food and Beverage Department. Requirements
- Minimum of six (6) months work experience in service-oriented environment.
- Experience in a food and beverage setting required.
- A valid food handler’s card is required for this position.
- TIPS Certification
- Must have working knowledge of Food and Beverage operations, including inventory, management and purchasing procedures.
- Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Computer knowledge required
- Strong computer skills with Windows platform, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail
- This position requires stooping and lifting.
- Substantial walking and manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as a computer is required.
- Warehouse runner must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
- Employees may be scheduled to work until 12:00am or later.
- This position requires working in an office, warehouse, and concession stand setting in addition to the physical requirements of continuous walking, lifting and standing for long periods of time.
- Tasks may include; pushing, pulling doors open, lifting, stooping, bending and lifting at least 50 lbs.
- Walking for long distances for more than 50% of workday.
- This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
- Must be able to pass background.
- Employee should use precautions & follow safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Receive ordered goods and ensure order agrees to receiving report.
- Transfer food and beverage items to concession stands according to Food and Beverage procedures.
- Direct storage, preparation and service of concession merchandise.
- Notify management when inventory needs and assure necessary inventory is ordered, stocked and available.
- Ensure adequate storage of merchandise by continual supervision of stock levels.
- Ensure warehouse is clean and neat.
- Rotate inventory to minimize spoilage.
- Maintain and reconcile all pertinent logs, transfer sheets and ensure that all transfers are documented.
- Ensure that proper sanitations procedures are followed.
- All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
