About The Position

The Warehouse Recycling Associate supports the efficient operation of recycling facilities by assisting with the collection, sorting, and processing of recyclable materials. The role includes safely loading and unloading materials, inspecting and sorting recyclables, maintaining shipping records, checking material-handling equipment, and keeping the work area clean and organized. The associate may be required to cross-train and perform other duties.

Requirements

• Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to interact efficiently with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow health and safety regulations while operating equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Good visual acuity, including close vision for computer work.
• Ability to perform repetitive wrist movements on a keyboard or handheld device.
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods and walk up and down stairs multiple times per day.
• Ability to repetitively lift, bend, carry, and push.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 50 pounds; reasonable assistance may be requested when tasks exceed these minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload recycling materials to and from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other hand tools, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Inspect, hand-sort, grade, and accurately count recyclable materials.
• Create, prepare, and maintain shipping documents and logs.
• Inspect material-handling equipment for needed repairs or maintenance.
• Keep the work area, equipment, and tools clean and properly stored.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Cross-train and perform other duties as required.
