About The Position

The Warehouse Recycling Associate supports efficient recycling facility operations by helping collect, sort, and process recyclable materials. The role includes safe material handling, inspecting and sorting recyclables, maintaining shipping records, checking equipment, and keeping the work area clean and organized. Associates may be cross-trained and assigned other duties.

Requirements

• Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to interact effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow health and safety regulations while operating equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Good visual acuity, including close vision for computer work.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods and to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day.
• Ability to perform repetitive wrist movements on a keyboard or handheld device.
• Ability to repetitively lift, bend, carry, and push.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload recycling materials to and from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other hand tools, following standard operating procedures.
• Inspect, hand-sort, grade, and accurately count recyclable materials.
• Create, prepare, and maintain shipping documents and logs.
• Inspect material handling equipment and identify needed repairs or maintenance.
• Keep the work area, equipment, and tools clean and properly stored.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Cross-train and perform other duties as required.
