About The Position

Furniture Fair is growing and adding to our Warehouse Receiving Team! This is a full-time position with a Monday through Friday schedule, from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. The role involves safely using a dolly to unload delivery trucks, preparing outgoing merchandise for delivery, and inspecting items for damage. Responsibilities also include pulling, wrapping, assembling, and loading furniture for customer pick-ups, receiving shipments as needed, and operating trash compactors and recycling machines. General cleanup of the warehouse, restrooms, and other areas is also part of the job. The position requires the ability to safely lift 50 pounds while loading/unloading furniture carts and other devices.

Requirements

• High school education or GED
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds while loading/unloading furniture carts, and other devices
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., 200 lbs. with the aid of a dolly or the assistance of another person without sustaining personal injury or damaging the merchandise
• Ability to read tags, instructions, and documents

Responsibilities

• Safely use a dolly to unload delivery trucks
• Prep the out-going merchandise for delivery and properly inspect for damage and ensure items are completely ready to be loaded on a delivery truck
• Pulling, wrapping, assembling, and loading out furniture for customer pick-ups
• Receiving shipments as needed and requested
• Operate the trash compactor and recycling machines as requested
• General cleanup, including warehouse, restrooms, and other areas of the warehouse
