About The Position

The Warehouse - Receiver is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, inspection, and storage of raw materials, packaging materials, ingredients, and other inbound shipments. This role ensures all incoming goods are verified, documented, and stored correctly to support production while maintaining inventory accuracy, food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse, receiving, shipping, or manufacturing experience is considered an asset.
  • Valid forklift certification is an asset; training may be provided.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems are considered an asset.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or varying shifts as operational requirements dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Safely unload incoming deliveries using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Receive and inspect raw materials, packaging materials, ingredients, and other inbound shipments.
  • Verify quantities, lot numbers, product codes, and condition of materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
  • Report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments to the appropriate departments.
  • Accurately complete receiving documentation and system transactions.
  • Label and store materials in designated warehouse locations following inventory control procedures.
  • Rotate inventory using FEFO (First Expired, First Out) or other established inventory practices.
  • Supply production departments with required materials as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Follow all food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
