About The Position

The Receiving Team Lead serves as the primary point of contact for all Distribution Center Receiving matters reporting to the Distribution Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager. The Receiving Lead is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Receiving function by completing all tasks assigned by the Distribution Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager. Although this position is primarily an early AM or Day shift, it may require afternoon/evening hours or weekend working/overtime hours.

Responsibilities

  • Unload, inspect, and scan all inbound receipts from ocean and domestic suppliers, as well as inbound intra-warehouse transfers
  • Ensure that all inbound trucks meet specified temperature requirements per AUI’s Food Safety Plan. Any issues must be reported to the Distribution Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager prior to unloading a shipment.
  • Communicate with the Purchasing Team when all Inbound Purchase Orders have been processed so that inventory levels may be posted to Great Plains
  • Create and apply barcode labels for all products arriving from suppliers
  • Create pallet tags for all inbound receipts that clearly identify all products via the item number and the lot code
  • Ensure proper put-away, from dock inbound, of all inbound products once scanned and systemic posting is completed (Proper put-away is to include storing of product in the warehouse via FEFO)
  • Report any receiving issues and discrepancies to the Manager and/or Assistant Manager and the Purchasing Department
  • Any damage or shortages received must be properly documented on the signed Bill of Lading prior to releasing the driver.
  • Receipt for all inbound customer returns, by unloading, inspecting, and scanning the product against the Return Material Authorization (RMA) provided
  • Identify/Report all customer returns received without an RMA to the responsible parties
  • Assist with daily replenishments of product from the bulk storage locations to the primary picking locations, ensuring stock is rotated and arranged via FEFO
  • Put away all products resulting from miss-picks or order cancellations daily
  • Perform lot code accuracy “spot” checks daily
  • Perform cycle counts every morning prior to processing any orders for that day including inventory check reports (6 or fewer)
  • Perform daily “spot” (physical and systemic) bin location checks to ensure 100% accuracy of bin location inventory
  • Complete bin to bin moves (physical and systemic) as required
  • Become familiar with the S.O.P surrounding system adjustments and how to apply the correct adjustment code
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment both within the warehousing area (including the reefer and freezers), dock areas, and perimeter of the building.
  • Perform sweeping, mopping, pallet removal from the warehouse, (stacking neatly on the dock in designated areas), and trash pickup (all including dock areas and perimeter as assigned).
  • Report any facility infrastructure issues to the Manager and/or Assistant Manager
