About The Position

This role is in support of American Health Packaging, a Cencora business offering pharma packaging services in the US. The Warehouse Receiving Lead spends much of their time training warehouse associates in duties and responsibilities and all associates in the safe use of equipment according to SOPs. They observe performance to correct behaviors as necessary and may require the use of a radio frequency (RF) device to perform daily tasks. This role is responsible for assisting warehouse personnel with the efficient execution of order filling, receiving, stocking, and returns. They may oversee shipping and general operations (UPS, emergency orders, or general deliveries). The lead continues to perform as an individual contributor completing advanced tasks and decision-making with detailed knowledge of the position and procedures. They provide day-to-day tactical direction and guidance to warehouse associates and are responsible for daily workloads. This role coordinates and recommends efficiencies to workflow and manages inventory, including monitoring levels. They may use forklifts, reach trucks, and/or other motorized equipment to move inventory. The lead assists in the supervision of the department, including assignment of work, manpower needs to cover associate vacations, and building volume. They participate in associate concerns such as reporting and follow-up to a supervisor. This role utilizes computer system applications for proper operation and reports. They comply with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and state and DEA regulations. Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Two (2) plus years of work experience.
  • Ability to read and understand the English language to compare and read product descriptions, names and shelf labels.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Good overall understanding of DC workflow and ability to work with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred.
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency to operate reach truck, picker machines, pallet jack, forklift, etc.
