Warehouse Lead – Shipping, Receiving & Inventory
About The Position
Flagpoles Etc. is looking for a hard-working, dependable Warehouse Lead - Shipping, Receiving & Inventory to take ownership of our daily shipping area and help keep inventory organized, accurate, and moving. This is a hands-on warehouse position for someone who can work hard, move quickly, stay organized, and keep details straight. This is not a sit-down desk job, nor is it a slow-paced warehouse role. You will be on your feet, pulling orders, packing shipments, checking products, tracking inventory, organizing materials, and ensuring completed orders actually get out the door quickly.
Requirements
- Prior shipping, warehouse, fulfillment, inventory, or order-pulling experience
- Computer skills
- Ability to read and follow orders, paperwork, and labels
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to lift and move products as required
- Ability to work full-time in person in Wixom, Michigan
- 1-3 years of shipping & receiving, warehouse, and inventory experience
- Shows up on time and ready to work
- Works independently after training and knows how to keep moving when priorities shift
- Is physically able to work on their feet most of the day
- Can lift, pull, pack, move, and stage products safely
- Pays attention to quantities, sizes, item numbers, and details
- Can read and follow written instructions
- Notices when something looks wrong
- Asks questions before guessing
- Takes pride in accurate work
- Keeps work areas clean and organized
- Can handle a busy day without falling apart
- Understands that shipping mistakes cost time, money, and customer trust
Responsibilities
- Accurately pull, pack, receive, stage, and ship orders.
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, freight paperwork, and required documentation.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, damage, shortages, and missing items.
- Track inventory movement and help maintain accurate product locations and counts.
- Organize flags, hardware, parts, supplies, and shipping materials.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and restocking shipping supplies.
- Follow orders, labels, packing slips, and special instructions carefully.
- Communicate order issues, inventory concerns, shortages, or damage right away.
- Work with internal departments and customers to resolve order or shipping questions.
- Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, safe, organized, and efficient.
- Ensure work is properly documented and completed without loose ends.
