About The Position

Calder Casino is seeking a talented, customer service-driven individual to join their team as a Warehouse Receiver. This role is crucial for creating "Winning Experiences" for teammates, guests, and partners. The ideal candidate is a go-getter, organized, and capable of keeping up with the demands of the receiving bay area. This position requires strong teamwork as it collaborates with all departments for receiving orders from various carriers and vendors. Experience in warehouse receiving, purchasing, or similar roles is encouraged.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse receiving experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and common online software navigation; able to create and format professional documents, enter and analyze data, and use online collaboration tools for effective communication.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clarity, confidence, and professionalism.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high pressure deadlines.
  • Valid Florida Gaming License.

  • Preferred high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating receipts and returns of materials ordered by Purchasing, ensuring shipments are as ordered.
  • Receiving and distribution of goods and mail within the company, including truck shipments, Food & Beverage vendors, UPS, DHL, and Fed Ex deliveries.
  • Performing mail distribution and runner duties for deliveries and pick-ups as assigned.
  • Tracking orders in the computer system, verifying back orders, and accessing the Purchase Order index.
  • Performing receiving functions for all departments, including monitoring and assisting with unloading products, opening packages, inspecting for damage, and verifying quantities against purchase orders and/or invoices.
  • Recording all required receiving information in the appropriate systems and with vendors.
  • Forwarding all packing slips and receiving documents to the Purchasing Manager after verifying and signing for accuracy of counts.
  • Determining the most economical and efficient shipping methods and applying appropriate shipping labels to outgoing items.
  • Packaging shipments as required and maintaining a log of all mail and shipments requiring special handling upon receipt.
  • Coordinating damage claims and shortages, communicating with carriers and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
  • Routing received items to the appropriate departments.
  • Assisting in delivering received products to designated storage areas and outlets in coordination with Food & Beverage leadership.
  • Supporting the organization and maintenance of Food & Beverage inventory in storage locations.
  • Assisting Food & Beverage leadership in recording and reconciling purchasing journals for food, non-alcoholic beverages, and alcoholic beverages.
  • Maintaining knowledge of and/or certification to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and hand trucks.
  • Receiving, sorting, and distributing postal mail and small parcels to designated departments.
  • Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area.
  • Adhering to all established safety and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, HACCP, Department of Health, and SQF standards, throughout the receiving process.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
