About The Position

The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for checking inbound product against receiving paperwork to ensure that the product matches the order in quantity and pack size, and labels the product accordingly. This role also ensures product condition meets acceptable government and company requirements, which helps maintain accurate inventory records and ensures the customer receives the correct, high-quality product.

Requirements

High School Education or equivalent preferred.
A minimum of 3 months previous warehousing experience required.
Able to read & write legibly.
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Good verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Able to drive a Pallet Jack.
Lift up to 80 lbs.
Push/pull boxes, pallet jack control arm, and pallets continuously.
Climb/balance occasionally (in and out of pallet jack 9-inch step).
Stoop/squat occasionally.
Kneel/bend occasionally.
Bend occasionally.
Reach above shoulder occasionally.
Grasp objects frequently (boxes, pallet jack controls, mouse, temperature gage).
Manipulate objects frequently (hand/power tools, parts).
Twist torso occasionally while driving the pallet jack to look for obstructions and/or other.

Nice To Haves

Previous comparable warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.
Check the temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and comply with U.S. Foodservice’s food safety and RRE requirements.
Check the cleanliness of the trailers before they are unloaded.
Verify quantity of each product to insure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system.
Apply labels to all incoming product to identify that product in the warehouse for stocking, selection and inventory tracking.
Complete required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.
