About The Position

Warehouse receiver is responsible for efficient, safe and accurate unloading of the transport trucks and performing the assigned warehouse maintenance tasks. This role involves keeping warehouse loading and unloading areas and grounds clean, filling racks, pick lines and all pick locations, and pushing/pulling pallets and loading/unloading company products (approximately 20 to 50 lbs per case). Climbing on and off forklifts is required.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification through the company.
  • Forklift experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Report to work on time and clock in and out properly.
  • Use and understand RF guns and functions of Location Based Inventory.
  • Unload inbound freight and outbound freight.
  • Ensure loads are done accurately and neatly.
  • Sweep, mop, and restock pick area, keeping work area clean.
  • Replenishment of all pick locations and areas.
  • Assist in all functions of warehouse maintenance.
  • Restock and rework returned beer.
  • Visually inspect all cases unloaded to ensure they are in saleable condition.
  • Be aware of code dates and load the oldest product first.
  • Report any accidents to manager on duty immediately.
  • Upon completion of the unloading of each truck give the receiving report to the Warehouse Manager for verification.
  • Ensure all empty pallets are removed from the pick area and properly stored before the end of the shift.
  • Clear the pick area of debris and stretch wrap at the end of the truck unloading process each day.
  • Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the company.
  • Maintain open and clear communications with the vendors and retailers that do business with the company.
  • Obtain approval from the Warehouse Manager prior to working in excess of your regular schedule.
  • Dress in uniform and maintain your personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy.
  • Conduct all activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance to the local, state and federal liquor control regulations.
  • Perform all work activities in accordance to the safe work practices, policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all established inventory control procedures and practices.
  • Help second and third shift with the loading of carts/pallet trucks as needed.
  • Adapt to any new responsibilities required by the Warehouse Manager or Operations Manager.
