About The Position

This role assists Sherwood Forest Farms (SFF) with the evaluation, acquisition, and production usage of raw materials, primarily live evergreens. The individual will also be involved in general warehouse maintenance and supervision, including managing a small crew of temporary employees for receiving and distributing raw materials. Responsibilities extend to general warehousing, including inventory movement between sites, safe forklift operation, and assisting with inbound long-haul trucks during the shipping season.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years of experience working in evergreen industries.
• Valid Driver’s License (Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report)
• Completion of a satisfactory background check

Nice To Haves

• Two years college or equivalent work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assimilate into the raw materials acquisition and maintenance activities out in the field.
• Help manage the purchase, selection, and usage of raw materials during the production season.
• Assist with primary warehouse maintenance.
• Manage a small crew (3 to 5) of temporary employees that receive and distribute raw materials in the warehouse during production.
• General warehousing (movement of inventory materials between sites).
• Driving forklift in a safe and controlled manner according to training procedures.
• Help manage inbound long-haul (semi) trucks during shipping season.
