About The Position

The Warehouse Production Manager is responsible for assisting in the execution of the Receiving and Inventory control. Responsible for maintaining inventory integrity and transportation of goods between facilities. The Shift Manager will be responsible for training, coaching and managing all assigned team members in the warehouse. This will be on the 2nd shift at our Northeast Warehouse location.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead and direct others – must have 2+ years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. repetitively
  • Ability to work within established time and quality control goals for this area
  • Ability to learn and master new tasks quickly
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • Knowledge of Koerber WMS system or other WMS systems.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Five years of warehouse management experience.
  • Possess strong leadership skills and ability to lead and direct others
  • Possess organizational and problem- solving skills
  • Safety oriented and knowledgeable of OSHA regulations
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with coworkers, managers, and customers.
  • Ability to provide assistance in other work-related areas as required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading and managing all team members assigned to the Shift in the warehouse
  • Resolves conflicts between team members and involves Sr. Operations Manager as necessary
  • Establishes daily responsibilities of team members and ensures that daily goals are met
  • Collaborates and works closely with all warehouse management team members to determine overall staffing needs and allocations, and identifies needs for direct hire and/or temporary staffing needs
  • Establishes and maintains a motivational approach to leadership, ensuring that all behaviors serve as a model for others to follow
  • Responsible for employee development, including annual performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and discipline as needed
  • Oversees that inventory is received properly and team is verifying purchase order numbers, accurately checking UPC codes, and quantities of items to be received.
  • Prepares appropriate forms and submits to necessary teams by deadlines for inventory receipts and vendor returns.
  • Directs the forklift operators to effectively pull/put away inventory
  • Schedules and coordinates the truck drivers to meet daily needs for inventory movement between multiple facilities
  • Works with department managers to develop appropriate daily inventory delivery schedules.
  • Directs the forklift operators to effectively transfer inventory to meet the daily demand
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
