About The Position

A warehouse porter maintains cleanliness, order, and safety within a warehouse facility. The role includes waste disposal, cleaning, minor maintenance assistance, and support for other warehouse staff to help keep the facility functional and hazard-free.

Two schedules are available. Schedule 1 is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off. Schedule 2 is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off. Base pay is $20.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization, identifying potential hazards, and keeping inventory accurate.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them efficiently.
• Effective communication with supervisors and other team members.
• Understanding of and adherence to safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, when required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, empty trash and recycling bins, and clean and maintain floors, racking, and general areas.
• Transport trash and waste to designated disposal areas and compact cardboard using trash compactors or designated tools.
• Organize and remove trash, recycling, and surplus materials; restock shelves and organize inventory as needed.
• Conduct daily property walks to identify and address potential hazards and follow safety procedures.
• Assist with receiving and shipping, including loading and unloading trucks, palletizing products, and preparing orders.
• Assist with inventory counts and help ensure accurate stock levels.
• Provide general support to the warehouse team with tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Communicate issues, maintenance needs, and supply requests to supervisors and team members.
