About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a Pipe Yard Associate for the pipe yard at its new semi-automatic fabrication shop in Tamarac, Florida. The role supports shop and pipe yard operations, including handling, picking, receiving, inspecting, inventorying, and organizing products. It is an onsite position scheduled Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The work involves outdoor exposure to all weather conditions and temperatures, frequent manual handling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and frequent handling of objects weighing 50 pounds or more with equipment. The position offers an hourly pay range of $15.61 to $23.41 and is eligible for a bonus or incentive plan. Requirements

Forklift operator experience is required.
Strong mechanical proficiency.
Basic math skills.
Highly organized and able to perform tasks with minimal direction.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

Background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory.
Basic product knowledge of carbon steel pipe and pipe fittings.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy motorized material-handling equipment safely.
Accurately pick ordered products.
Coordinate the removal and replacement of worn components.
Accurately cycle count inventory, inspect orders thoroughly, and unload trucks using a forklift.
Put items away and receive them in the system.
Organize and reconfigure the yard.
Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
Assist with shop and pipe yard operations as needed.
