About The Position

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Reporting to the Distribution Manager, the incumbent is responsible for filling orders from requisitions, stocking shelves, replenishing stock and performing inventory counts as required.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience required
• Experience operating electric forklifts and/or high-stacker required and the ability to stock/unstock racking up to 22 feet high up to 4000 lbs
• Minimum Grade 12, Manitoba Standards, required
• Must complete and maintain recognized Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training
• Must possess a current certificate from a recognized training facility or equivalent certificate for the Forklift and Low Lift Pallet Mover (may not be required at all sites)
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing is required
• Demonstrated customer service skills essential
• Honesty and integrity
• Considerable standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, stretching, pushing and pulling
• Repetitive lifting of boxes from floor to shelving (55 lbs.)
• Pushing and pulling cartloads/pallets of supplies that may weigh up to 2,100 lbs.
• May be required to work in cramped and/or high conditions where carrying items over obstacles and twisting motions are necessary
• Will be required to operate equipment to load and unload pallets of supplies from the racking units, reaching a maximum height of 22 feet
• Required to handle hazardous/dangerous goods in accordance with WHMIS regulations
• Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment
• An employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions in Shared Health that combine to equal more than 1.0 FTE
