About The Position

As a Warehouse Person, you will be a key part of our Operations team, to pull product ensuring specific shipping requirements are met. Load and unload trucks in a timely and efficient manner. Receive stock and put away according to warehouse plan. We’re looking for someone who’s reliable, diligent, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced team. Requirements

  • High school Diploma graduate with relevant warehouse experience, or equivalent in education and experience.
  • Must be able to confidently operate a fork truck and a clamp truck
  • Must be able to lift and carry weights up to 60 pounds
  • Basic computer literacy like Data Entry, and MS office
  • Must be able to work in Canada without the need for sponsorship now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Abe to work occasionally under pressure due to increased activity at month's end
  • Ability to exact visual attention when checking orders
  • Able to work under some involuntary interruptions
  • Knowledge of any ERP like Oracle or SAP
  • Mandatory First Aid Certification (Emerson will provide)

Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments, check Seals & Bills of Lading against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Sign for incoming shipments.
  • Confirm count of received goods.
  • Unload trucks, using clamp, forklift and pump truck.
  • Put away product to the appropriate area according to warehouse plan.
  • Organize incoming and existing stock neatly as required.
  • Perform shipping functions. Pull correct product for customer's order, using Oracle Pick List / RF handheld device.
  • Pack product appropriately.
  • Ship goods via customer request.
  • Complete stock checks as required.
  • Perform as back-up for Shipping in other divisions or Receiving functions, if necessary, due to absence or additional work.
  • Check clamp / forklift at start of each shift, for appropriate running and safety specs: e.g. check battery, horn, etc.
  • Report maintenance needs to supervisor.
  • Participate in annual inventory.
  • Understand and operate at all times in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
