This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. It requires strict attention to order accuracy when loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. The role involves working from an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The Warehouse Person (Loader) is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation, following warehouse instructions for building loads, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The position may require working across a wide variety of weather conditions and hours, with shift duration depending on the workload and varying daily. Specific duties include transport truck loading (moving full pallets, removing returns), bulk truck loading (selecting products, stacking, shrink-wrapping, loading onto trailers, unloading returns), and route truck loading (customized product selection, loading into trucks, unloading returns). The role demands frequent lifting of cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly during long work periods, and constant physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
