This labor-intensive seasonal position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. It requires strict attention to order accuracy for both loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. The role involves using an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads with a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipper/receiver documentation. Employees must follow warehouse instructions, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and be prepared to work in a wide variety of weather conditions. Shift duration is dependent on workload and may vary daily. Specific duties include transport truck loading (moving full pallets, removing returns, unloading raw materials), bulk truck loading (selecting and loading products onto pallets, maintaining stability with stacking and shrink-wrapping), and route truck loading (customized product selection and loading based on salespersons' orders). The position demands lifting a very high volume of cases (20-45 pounds per case) repeatedly during long work periods, requiring constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
