This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. It requires strict attention to order accuracy when loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. The role involves working from an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The position demands accuracy in loading and compliance with shipper/receiver documentation, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role may require working across a wide variety of weather conditions and hours, with shift duration varying daily based on workload. Specific duties include transport truck loading (moving full pallets, removing returned pallets/plastic flats, unloading raw materials), bulk truck loading (selecting designated packages and flavors, stacking, shrink-wrapping, loading onto trailers, unloading returned products), and route truck loading (selecting customized products for specific salespersons' orders, unloading returned products and pallets/plastic flats). The position requires repeatedly lifting a very high volume of cases of product (20-45 pounds per case) during long work periods, involving constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
