About The Position

Position Overview As a Selector Trainee, you will work individually selecting full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products from warehouse pick slots using a pallet jack or other equipment. You will either use order sheets or an audio headset. You will then fit the items on a pallet (are you good at Tetris?), plastic wrap the bundles, transport pallets to shipping dock and in some cases, load them onto a trailer for delivering to customers. Job Description Perform duties of a Order Selector ( 12 weeks in training) Utilizes Electric Pallet Jack to manually pick cases of product from warehouse racks to fill customer orders. Building pallets of products picked to fill the orders. Recording daily actions by use of Voice-command, pick sheets and Power-warehouse. Fits products on a pallet; insuring heavy products on bottom to reduce damage, plastic wrapping them, and loading them onto a trailer. Must be able to work to the end of shift to include necessary overtime in order to meet business needs and willing to assist in other departments based upon business needs. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. What’s a great way to stay in shape? Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc. Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools

Requirements

General Equivalency Diploma - General Studies
High School Diploma - General Studies
