About The Position

Join Staples’ Supply Chain team to help deliver products to customers. This full-time, second-shift warehouse associate role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Associates may be assigned to any of four areas as needed: Order Picker, Restocker, Bulk Selector, or Custodian. The role requires following safety procedures and supporting Staples’ safety culture. The position is in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations and involves standing and walking throughout the shift, as well as handling products by hand.

Requirements

• Ability to count and use basic arithmetic.
• Ability to work the assigned schedule and be accountable for assigned tasks.
• Ability to understand and follow job requirements and safety guidelines.
• Basic English skills for verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift; overtime is required based on business needs for full-time associates.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, or carry products by hand up to 70 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
• Ability to adopt safety procedures quickly and use inclusive collaboration to build relationships and resolve issues.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Prior warehouse or applicable experience, including fast-food work (headset use is a plus), stockroom work, working with racking systems, customer service, or package handling.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and on time to meet daily production goals, sometimes above ground level.
• Scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves to prepare work areas for the next shift.
• Select products, pull and pack totes, cut merchandise cases and/or stock products, and move full totes and cases onto a conveyor belt.
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, vacuuming, removing carpet spots, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning furniture and windows, and collecting and removing warehouse trash.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Work assigned schedules and remain accountable for assigned tasks.
