About The Position
Wurth Baer Supply Company is seeking a Warehouse Order Picker for their Distribution Center in Vernon Hills, IL. This role involves picking and packing orders for the woodworking industry. The company is a leading specialty wholesale distributor with extensive inventory and operates numerous distribution locations across several regions of the United States. Wurth Baer Supply Company is a subsidiary of the Wurth Group, a global organization. The position requires the ability to operate a sit-down forklift and a cherry picker (also known as an order picker with a harness). The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm CST, with a 40-hour work week. Overtime is offered but not mandatory. The starting pay is $18.00/HR. A 14-panel drug test, including THC, is required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ year of warehouse experience in a receiving position with similar duties
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Sit-down forklift experience
Nice To Haves
- Ability to operate cherry picker (also called order picker with a harness)
Responsibilities
- Pick and pack orders (primary function of this role is on-foot picking)
- Receive and verify inbound orders
- Load and unload trailers
- Operate cherry picker with harness to pick or put away materials in the racks (also known as order picker vehicle)
- Roll and pack 3x3 laminate sheets
