About The Position

The purpose of this position is to safely and efficiently manage the receipt, internal movement (to include warehouse organization and good housekeeping), and shipment of materials and machinery to satisfy our internal and external customer’s needs. This role involves performing daily visual inspections of forklifts, working in a barcode environment with scanners and tracking devices, and rotating stock on a FIFO basis using computer systems. The operator will also perform daily safety inspections of trucks, materials, and equipment, confirm material receipts and shipments through computer systems, and transport materials using electric forklifts. Additionally, the role supports the manufacturing plant by supplying finished goods, raw materials, and packaging, and performs various warehousing tasks including case picking, layer picking, pallet picking, staging, loading, and receiving. The position requires tracking materials, confirming shipments, printing and verifying documents, and performing cycle counts of inventory. Housekeeping duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, scraping, scrubbing, and painting are also part of the responsibilities. The role provides quality products and information to internal and external customers, identifies and resolves problems using root cause analysis, and adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety rules at all times.

  • Lift and carry for short distances, and transfer up to 50lbs on a frequent basis.
  • Frequently twist and turn while driving forklifts forward and backward; frequently climbs on and off of forklifts.
  • Frequently stoop, bend, or squat to reach below 56” shelf or lift up to 60” high.
  • Stand and walk frequently on concrete floors.
  • High School Graduate.
  • Experience driving a forklift

Responsibilities

  • Performs daily visual inspection of your forklift and document results continuously.
  • Works in a Bar Code environment using Laser Scanners, Tracking Devices, and Label Printers, continuously.
  • Rotates stock on a FIFO basis through the use of specific computer systems, continuously.
  • Performs daily safety inspections of trucks, materials, and equipment to conform with regulatory compliance standards.
  • Confirms material receipts through the use of our computer systems.
  • Transports materials in the safest and most efficient manner through the use of both stand-up and sit-down electric forklifts.
  • Supports and supplies finished goods, raw materials and packaging to the Kent manufacturing plant.
  • Performs case pick, layer pick, pallet pick, stages, loads, receives and effectively warehouses all materials.
  • Tracks materials to efficiently supply our internal and external customers using specific computer systems.
  • Confirms all shipments through the use of specific computer systems.
  • Prints PO Receipts, picklists, bills of lading, verify accuracy of documents concerning material movement.
  • Cycles count inventory in warehouse zones using the equipment and systems provided.
  • Dusts, sweeps, mops, scrapes, scrubs, and paints using the necessary tools provided by CMI.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Provides internal and external customers with quality products, along with information to our Systems and Admin Staff.
  • Identifies, confronts, addresses and resolves problems using root cause process analysis.
  • Follows GMP’s at all times.
  • Follow all Safety rules and guidelines at all times.
