About The Position

Axalta Coating Systems is seeking a Warehouse Operator for the afternoon shift. This role involves a variety of warehouse functions including receiving and unloading trucks, loading outgoing trucks, verifying and managing material inventory in SAP, pulling materials, re-palletizing, operating an elevator, battery charging for PMHE, utilizing the SDS system for product identification, processing sample requests, coordinating shipments, maintaining area supplies, and ensuring proper certifications and markings for ground and air shipments. The position also includes limited assistance with dump backs, changing dust kits, retrieving bags from the bag house, operating dock plates, performing annual inventory, assisting with snow/ice removal, auditing material locations, performing lockouts on equipment, and maintaining housekeeping standards. The role operates in a co-managed environment with an outside contractor.

Requirements

  • Ability to be assigned to RMW secure area (CDRA) – background check
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, SAP)
  • Knowledge of basic warehousing functions (math skills)
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Ability to be licensed in operating PMHE.
  • Ability to lift to 75 Lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work at heights at or above 30 feet.
  • Ability to work in a wide range of climates.
  • Ability to work in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work in a self-managed environment.
  • Flexibility in working occasional overtime or other assigned scheduled determined by the manager.
  • HS Diploma (Minimum)
  • Must be able to pass a Drug Test and Background Check

Responsibilities

  • Receive and Unload Trucks
  • Load outgoing trucks (Univar, pallets, export orders, empty drums, etc)
  • Verify material – receipt of material in SAP, bin to bin material in SAP!
  • Pull material for loaders.
  • Re-palletize material received on non-standard pallets.
  • Elevator management – operate MFG/RMW elevator.
  • Battery charging and filling for PMHE.
  • Utilize SDS system “TIPS” for identification of products.
  • Receive & process sample intercompany requests of raw and semi-finished materials
  • Coordinate shipments with planning/finished product warehouse
  • Maintain area supplies (cartons/labels/tape, etc.)
  • Maintain appropriate shipper certifications for ground & air shipments. (DOT/IATA training)
  • Ensure proper markings of samples/cartons per DOT/IATA regulations.
  • Limited assistance with Dump Back of removing material from box but NOT to remove caps or to actually dump material.
  • Changing dust kits (non-restricted dust system)
  • Retrieve bags from bag house.
  • Dock plate operation
  • Annual inventory
  • Assist with snow/ice removal when necessary.
  • Audit locations of material (physical versus SAP) – consolidate locations.
  • Performs lockouts on equipment if necessary.
  • Housekeeping (including cleaning powder spills of non-MS coded material; remove trash, organize, and arrange marshalling area, organize pigment)
  • Work in a co-managed environment with an outside contractor work service
