About The Position

We are Parallel 49 Brewing Company, a craft brewery based in the heart of East Vancouver. We were founded in 2012 by passionate craft beer enthusiasts and have quickly become a staple in the Canadian craft beer scene. We are looking for skilled and interesting people with great attitudes to complement our team while we remain a top employer in Vancouver and the craft beer industry. The Temporary Warehouse Operator is responsible for all incoming and outgoing shipments from the Parallel 49 Brewing Company’s warehouse. They are responsible to safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts and maintain a clean, lean and organized warehouse. This is a temporary position starting as soon as possible ending September 15, 2026. The shift is 12:00PM to 8:00PM, Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred
  • Counterbalance Forklift and Narrow Aisle Forklift Experience (certification is preferred)
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment is preferred
  • Experience with inventory management, ERP software and scanners is an required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Counterbalance Forklift and Narrow Aisle Forklift Experience (certification is preferred)
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the products received
  • Loading and unloading trucks as required, including returning stock, pallets, etc. to inventory
  • Prepare orders for delivery and shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain clean and organized work environment and adhere to all safety protocols
  • Responsible for maintaining efficient product storage and movement
  • Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular inventory audits
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Maintain a safe working environment and follow all health and safety guidelines
  • Utilization of handheld scanners and ERP system
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
