About The Position

DSV is seeking a Warehouse Operator-Team Lead for their 2nd shift at the West Branch location. This full-time role involves various warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control. The position requires operating MHE (Material Handling Equipment) such as forklifts, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
  • Able to operate MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
  • Able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Proficiency with RF Scanners.
  • Familiarity with WMS functions.
  • English (reading, writing, verbal).
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years’ experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.
  • 1-3 years forklift experience.
  • Current or prior MHE certification.

Responsibilities

  • Load outbound shipments using a forklift, move product, and stack products or materials.
  • Accurately load orders according to appropriate doors and trailers.
  • Unload inbound shipments using a forklift, move product, replenish, stack, and store products or materials.
  • Efficiently and accurately locate and place products in appropriate storage areas.
  • Accurately pick orders using a forklift to fulfill client demands.
  • Stage picked products in appropriate areas.
  • Stack, package, band, shrink wrap, and label product(s) as determined by client requirements.
  • Use appropriate documentation to ensure all products and orders are received, handled, and shipped correctly.
  • Verify that products and/or orders meet quality standards, reporting any damages or discrepancies.
  • Execute all safety protocols and accomplish job tasks in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and work area.
  • Assist in security of the warehouse.
  • Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards.
  • Operate equipment including sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, Aisle Master, or pallet jack.
  • Perform upkeep of equipment and report equipment problems.
  • Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklifts or other equipment daily.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
  • Maintain an active forklift certification.
  • Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.
