About The Position

GEODIS is hiring a Warehouse Operator II to support warehouse operations. The role involves reviewing schedules and orders to determine which items need to be moved, gathered, or distributed; preparing products for shipment; sorting and storing materials; assembling customer orders; and moving products using warehouse equipment. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The position requires regular lifting of up to 50 pounds and the ability to learn proper operation of warehouse equipment.

Requirements

• High school education or GED equivalency.
• 1 to 2 years of experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
• Experience using a minimum of four pieces of warehouse equipment.
• Exposure to a Tier 1 or Tier 2 warehouse management system or comparable system.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to learn proper operation of warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product are loaded.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock, stage orders, and/or convey orders to a packing station or shipping department according to an OH or customer pick sheet.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift, pallet jack, clamp truck, or other powered equipment.
