About The Position

Meyer is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator / Class 3(Q) Box Truck Driver to join their growing, family-owned and operated team. This full-time position involves comprehensive warehouse duties such as loading and unloading trucks, stocking products in appropriate locations, and pulling/staging products for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Additionally, the role requires driving company trucks for route deliveries to customers, ensuring timely product delivery while adhering to National Safety Code regulations. Requirements

  • Preference of minimum one (1) year of experience operating 26–28 ft. box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid class DZ driver’s license with air brakes
  • Willingness to submit to background checks
  • Clean driving record with no recent moving violations; must remain insurable under standard insurance market rates
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive bending and lifting
  • Previous warehouse experience and must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 3 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks, dispersing product accurately based on its receiving location
  • Use scanners to stocks parts on racks in proper bin locations
  • Operate at least one type of Power-Industrial Equipment (Forklift, Manlift, etc.)
  • Place product on pallets and assist in banding and wrapping loads
  • Wear protective steel toed shoes and work in a safe manner at all times
  • Keep warehouse and work area clean and organized at all times
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) well as with company policies and procedures
  • Report defects, accidents or violations
  • Complete paperwork necessary for company and National Safety Code
  • Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks
  • All other duties as assigned
