Warehouse Operator 1 - 2nd shift
About The Position
The Warehouse Operator 1 is responsible for various warehouse duties including stocking and delivering goods to the production floor on the 2nd shift. This role involves receiving, unpacking, checking, and stocking materials, as well as recording inventory changes. Responsibilities also include completing orders individually or as part of a team, which involves picking, wrapping, and packing orders. Additionally, the operator will address and label packages, compute freight rates, and record shipment weight and cost. Sorting, organizing, and marking items with identifying labels for quick location is crucial. The role requires reviewing and fulfilling customer orders accurately against pick tickets, including printing, picking, packing, data entry, and manifesting to ensure accurate orders and invoicing. The position emphasizes accurate, efficient, and cost-effective completion of customer orders with a sense of urgency, while adhering to safety guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in a Warehouse setting
- Experience safely and diligently operating a Forklift and Stock Picker
- Basic Computer skills
- Microsoft Office skills
- SAP skills
- Must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this SHIPPING WAREHOUSING PHYSICAL, COGNITIVE and ENVIRONMENTAL (PCE) JOB REQUIREMENTS position.
Responsibilities
- Receiving, unpacking, checking and stocking materials
- Recording items taken from inventory and documenting when completed
- Completing orders as part of a team or individually: picking orders and wrapping or packing orders in shipping containers
- Addressing and labeling packages
- Computing freight rates, while recording the weight and cost of each shipment
- Sorting, organizing, and marking items with identifying labels (i.e. such as inventory codes), so that inventories can be located quickly and easily
- Reviewing and fulfilling customer orders quickly and accurately against pick tickets, while printing, picking, packing, data entering and manifesting, ensuring accurate order and invoicing for customer
- Assuring accurate, efficient, cost-effective completion of customer orders with a sense of urgency, while following safety guidelines
