About The Position

Warehouse Operations Support provides administrative support for the warehouse including receiving, processing, printing, and distributing documentation and information in person and through phone and email. Primary Objectives Freight documentation is received and processed promptly, accurately, and efficiently. Status information and shipment records are accurate and updated timely in databases, spreadsheets, and tools. Responses to inquiries and requests are prompt and accurate with complete, relevant information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (HSED) required
  • 2+ years of related administrative support experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to develop effective professional relationships.
  • High degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize effectively under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products at the following levels: Excel, Word, and Outlook: Basic level of skill

  • Experience in a freight warehouse preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review and process freight documentation.
  • Provide general office support including maintaining a presence at the office window, answering phones, and monitoring warehouse emails.
  • Create Pick Tickets, print Bills of Lading (BOLs) and make updates to databases.
  • Follow client protocols for documenting, photographing, scanning, labeling, and sorting pallets.
  • Update transportation management systems with current and complete data.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with drivers, clients, and warehouse staff to ensure high levels of service.
  • Support dispatch teams by correcting problems, updating load information, and generating required paperwork for carriers, brokers, agents, and warehouses.
  • Research shipment statuses and update systems as needed.
  • Respond to complaints and questions with communication back to customer points of contact.
  • Comply with safety and security regulations and policies, including attendance at mandatory safety meetings.
  • Assist with warehouse inventory monitoring and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
