About The Position

Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking Warehouse Clerks for a temporary 6-month assignment at our Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. This position operates on a 7X7, 12-hour, day shift schedule. The Warehouse Clerk will provide essential supply chain support to the Mine and Mill departments, ensuring the timely delivery of parts and materials crucial for production operations at the Copper Mountain mine site. This is not a fly-in-fly-out position. As Copper Mountain Mine continues to grow, there are many career development opportunities available for motivated individuals. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience coordinating the flow of parts and materials in a fast-paced industrial Warehouse/Industrial environment
  • Proficient user of Google Workspace
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Have high regard for personal safety and the safety of company property and employees
  • Practices safe work behaviours and supports the Copper Mountain Mine safety culture
  • Proven ability to be effective in a fast-paced or high-paced, dynamic, multi-tasking work environment
  • Details and results-oriented with the ability to multi-task, and adhere to deadlines
  • Adept to work efficiently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members in a positive manner
  • Required to meet pre-employment testing requirements
  • Demonstrate the eligibility to work in Canada
  • Possess a valid Class 5/7N British Columbia driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Propane filling certification preferred
  • Experienced in SAP is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical inventory counts and stock adjustments of all warehouse stock items.
  • Identify, confirm, and receive all incoming materials.
  • Unload freight using a forklift.
  • Identify part number corrections, changes, or additions.
  • Assist personnel with the location and identification of parts.
  • Ensure that stock shelves are maintained in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Daily housekeeping activities such as cleaning, sweeping and garbage removal.
  • Process warehouse issues.
  • Run various reports and assists in basic warehousing activities.
  • Fill propane cylinders for end-use departments.
  • Make certain that warehouse, yards, and outbuildings are maintained in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Performs other responsibilities as required or as assigned by the department head.
