About The Position

Oversee and supervise a work group to meet department goals. The schedule for this position is Sunday - Friday 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM or until work is completed, with rotating 6th day off. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs. This role offers highly competitive wages starting at $75,000/year.

Requirements

  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Skills and experience sufficient to supervise assistant receivers and helpers.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.
  • Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
  • Good memory and scanning abilities.
  • Good communication and math skills.
  • Able to lift up to 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis.
  • Able to learn to use a forklift.
  • May require valid drivers license and conformance with company driver policy.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana).
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require U.S. Venture’s sponsorship to continue to work legally in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
  • Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements.
  • Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
  • Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Assists with process improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures.
  • Continually enforces productivity standards.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and communication.
  • Receiving: Check in product completely and accurately.
  • Stock products correctly.
  • Loading: Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries.
  • Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety.
  • Returns: Inspect and physically count returned merchandise.
  • Restock inventory in appropriate place.
  • Outbound freight of vendor returns.
  • Paperwork for all warranty product.
  • Unloading of customer/inventory transfers from corporate warehouses.
  • Operate power equipment, including fork-lift.
  • May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed.
