About The Position

Oversee and supervise a work group to meet department goals. The schedule for this position is Sunday - Friday 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM or until work is completed, with rotating 6th day off. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs. This role provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication. It also involves providing measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance, and recognition for achievements. The supervisor conducts interviews, hiring, and training as necessary, and supports safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Maintaining a safe working environment for all associates and assisting with process improvement initiatives are key responsibilities. Regular meetings are conducted to ensure personnel are informed of policies and procedures, and productivity standards are continually enforced. The role ensures excellent customer service and communication in receiving, stocking, and loading operations, as well as handling returns, outbound freight of vendor returns, and paperwork for warranty products. It also involves unloading customer/inventory transfers, operating power equipment, and potentially serving as a backup driver. The supervisor is expected to cultivate U.S. Venture’s values, champion continuous improvement, and support corporate efforts for safety, government compliance, and other company policies.

Requirements

  • 3 years of related experience
  • Skills and experience sufficient to supervise assistant receivers and helpers
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems
  • Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice
  • Good memory and scanning abilities
  • Good communication and math skills
  • Able to lift up to 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis
  • Able to learn to use a forklift
  • May require valid drivers license and conformance with company driver policy
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require U.S. Venture’s sponsorship to continue to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving: Check in product completely and accurately
  • Stock products correctly
  • Loading: Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries
  • Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety
  • Returns: Inspect and physically count returned merchandise
  • Restock inventory in appropriate place
  • Outbound freight of vender returns
  • Paperwork for all warranty product
  • Unloading of customer/inventory transfers from corporate warehouses
  • Operate power equipment, including fork-lift
  • May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed
