Warehouse Operations Manager
About The Position
The Warehouse Operation Manger is responsible for all functions of the warehouse including: shipping, receiving, inventory control, administering policies and programs and maintaining supplies for the Distribution center. Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following: Hires, orients, trains and issues corrective action (when applicable) to team members Review and approve payroll on a weekly basis Ensuring warehouse is equipped with racking, proper lighting, heat and air, proper work environment and any other warehouse related items Shipping UPS/FED EX/international/trucking control Receiving, including quality control Managing the contractor compliance program Supervising and training warehouse personnel Other duties as determined by the needs of the business
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Requires strong supervisory skills: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and create a team work environment by communicating effectively between shift/department.
- Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly.
- Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and situations.
- Ability to prioritize workload on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of Quality Procedures.
- Ability to work inside a corrections environment.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Packaging experience a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude for high speed packaging equipment.
Responsibilities
