Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • College Degree strongly preferred
  • 10 plus years of distribution and warehouse experience in grocery wholesale industry.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HAACP, FDA, DEA, EPA, safety regulations, sanitation, and food safety as required for warehouse operations
  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of engineered labor standards preferred
  • Excellent written and oral interpersonal/communication skills
  • Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) preferred for successful leadership.
  • Strong ability to chart, forecast, plan, manage, and measure day-to-day operations.
  • Able to effectively interact with multiple levels within the company.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Exhibits initiative, customer service skills, and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and supervise warehouse personnel to attain specific goals and measurable results.
  • Ensure accuracy within warehouse operations.
  • Establish, monitor, and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in strict compliance with government regulations and Company policies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of warehouse operations and personnel.
  • Train and develop supervisors, identifying and mentoring high potential candidates
  • Successful interaction between other departments within the distribution center
  • Implement best practices in managing inventories using a warehouse management system
  • Ability to effectively manage personnel to ensure productivity
  • Ability to work effectively in a range of temperatures down to -20 degrees.
