About The Position

The Warehouse Operations Department Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and optimizing the daily operations within the department to ensure efficiency, quality, and alignment with organizational goals. This position is responsible for managing teams, streamlining processes, and implementing strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence and continuous improvement. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional departments to coordinate resources, resolve challenges, and support business growth. The Manager will analyze performance metrics and operational data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity enhancement. Ultimately, this position ensures that operational activities meet compliance standards and deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management or a similar leadership role.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and lead cross-functional projects effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of operational best practices, process improvement methodologies, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous PIV and forklift experience necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certifications.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and data analytics tools.
  • Previous experience managing operations within a large or complex organization.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational change and managing budgets.
  • Hazmat certified

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the operations team to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high performance standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with other departments to align operational activities with overall business strategies and goals.
  • Analyze operational data and prepare reports to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to optimize operational costs and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies across all operational processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying bottlenecks and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance skills and performance.
